School has been going well, but it’s been VERY busy. For anyone who knows a bit of anatomy- I have learned the entire brainstem and all about the cranial nerves (within the past 2 weeks). It’s pretty intense, but these few weeks were supposed to be the hardest in all of neuro- so that’s good news. It helps that we have a new guy in our study group who did a PhD in brainstem anatomy! Last week we studied cerebrovascular disease (strokes) and this week we studied meningitis.
I’ve also had a few good visits with my friends from home (who were traveling in Australia this past month). Mike Landell, a friend from the beach, was in town for a weekend, so I met him down at Circular Quay for some ice cream when he was here.Tyler Simpson, another beach lifeguard, was in Sydney for about 6 days and he and a friend stayed with me for 3 or 4 nights while they were here. I saw quite a bit of them and even managed to get to the beach with them one day. This past weekend I went to the Sydney Wine Festival in Hyde Park with a few girlfriends from my class. Lots of food, good wine and music. :) Anyway, I guess I should run, but I will write again when I’m back in Sydney. I hope everyone has a Happy Easter! Miss you!
Random picture!... but this possum/giant squirrel :) was right outside our lecture theatre the other day!
